Make these quick, homemade ginger turmeric shots to support your digestion and immunity after a busy weekend. This recipe yields a vibrant yellow liquid perfect for your morning wellness routine.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh ginger root, peeled
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 45 lemons)
  • 1/2 cup fresh turmeric root, peeled
  • 1/4 cup filtered water
  • 1 tablespoon black peppercorns (for absorption)
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your juicer. If you do not have a juicer, you will need a high-speed blender and cheesecloth for straining.
  2. Cut the peeled ginger and turmeric into pieces small enough to fit your juicer chute.
  3. Juice the ginger, turmeric, and lemon juice separately or together, alternating between ingredients.
  4. If using a blender, combine all solid ingredients with the water and blend until completely smooth.
  5. Strain the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or several layers of cheesecloth into a bowl, pressing firmly to extract all liquid. Discard the pulp.
  6. Stir in the black peppercorns and honey, if using.
  7. Pour the liquid into small, aesthetic glass jars or shot glasses.
  8. Store the ginger lemon juice recipe mixture in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • For best results and maximum anti inflammatory wellness shots benefits, consume one shot daily, preferably in the morning.
  • Black pepper contains piperine, which significantly increases the body’s absorption of curcumin from turmeric.
  • If you prefer a less intense flavor, reduce the ginger amount slightly.
