Make this creamy and spicy buffalo chicken dip in your slow cooker for an easy party dip recipe perfect for game day or Memorial Day snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup prepared ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup Frank’s RedHot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce (or similar hot sauce)
  • 1 (10 ounce) can canned chicken, drained and flaked
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese dressing
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the softened cream cheese into the basin of a small slow cooker.
  2. Pour the ranch dressing and hot sauce over the cream cheese.
  3. Stir the mixture until the cream cheese is mostly melted and combined with the liquids.
  4. Fold in the drained, flaked chicken and 1/2 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Stir in the Monterey Jack cheese and blue cheese dressing.
  6. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 2 hours or on HIGH for 1 hour, stirring halfway through.
  7. Once heated through and creamy, sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese and the blue cheese crumbles (if using) on top.
  8. Cover and cook for another 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese on top is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve hot directly from the slow cooker with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crackers for dipping.

Notes

  • For a thicker dip, use less ranch dressing or add an extra ounce of cream cheese.
  • If you do not have blue cheese dressing, substitute with more ranch dressing.
  • Keep the slow cooker on the ‘Keep Warm’ setting during your gathering to maintain the hot dip for a crowd.
